Cold, heavy grades move slowly. Run the engine a few minutes so the oil thins out, and the same motor drains noticeably faster. Use a filter when the oil carries debris.

Remove the caps, secure the hose, clip red to positive and black to negative, drop the inlet into the oil pan with the outlet into your waste container, then switch it on.
